Times of Change: Resist or Embrace?

Wow, what a week it’s been! Unfortunately, I’ve been under the weather for most of the week and yet on the other, I’ve also experienced some significant unexpected but positive changes in my private life. From one moment to the next, I haven’t known what to expect. It’s been a real rollercoaster of emotions.

Since the start of my own theta healing journey, there are a few key virtues that I’ve been working on. These are Patience, Surrender, deep deep levels of Trust and Letting Go. I have improved greatly in these virtues and in turn, I’ve helped many clients and course students with each one of these important virtues.

There is a real difference between being aware of theses virtues, understanding them, implementing them and living them. Each of these stages create different experiences.

This week was a great test for me to take all my learning from the last few years, to live them and to surrender. I’ve had to trust my higher guidance and follow my heart.

When significant changes happen, especially when they are unexpected, they usually come as a shock. The first thing that our mind wants to do is to go into the survival mode, clinging to the positive, safe and familiar experiences and resisting the unwanted ones. We belief this is a way we keep the control and stay safe.

Actually, the opposite is true. The moment we resist unwanted or unplanned experiences, we create energetic blockages because the energy can no longer flow and becomes immovable. This obviously doesn’t resolve anything. We might ignore these blockages, but over time they build-up within us and at some point they will burst open. This can manifest itself through feelings such as loneliness, wanting control, insecurity, not feeling worthy, success without fulfilment, feeling an emptiness inside or feeling lost. It can also result in physical illness in many different ways.

It’s often so much easier to listen to what others say or to heed what’s in our mind rather than listening to our heart, our instinct, our gut feeling. There are currently a lot of changes taking place in the energetic field of the earth and this also relates to each of us individually. It's time to open those connections within us and start to trust our own feelings, because your instinct will guide you on your life path. It will allow us to let go of the old and embrace the new. Yes, this can be challenging at times, but everything happens for a reason. It is for us to trust that everything happens for us instead of against us.

The moral of the story, change is happening constantly, especially with the current energy in the world. It’s for us to allow this change to flow through us, without resisting it. Once everything has calmed down, it’s time for you to question what you really want in life and take action to achieve those individual and unique goals! Remember you don’t have to do this alone, support is always available often closer than you think.
